Lead Generation

Now that you have built brand awareness in the first stage, the Lead Generation phase is the initial opportunity to engage customer interest or inquiry into a business. This is the stage when a stranger begins to show interest in your company. Think of it like this, if you are walking down a marketplace or mall and you see a store you’ve never seen before, that moment where you pause to take a quick peek in the store window or at the booth, you have expressed interest.

To drive great lead generation interest and inquiry, try focusing your marketing efforts on these five channels:

  • Influencers

  • Social media and advertising

  • Website

  • Email marketing

  • Search engine marketing

These channels serve lead generation well because of the opportunity to not only to provide information about your business but to also connect uniquely with each and every consumer showing interest in your brand. This is the first stage of the customer journey where you have an opportunity to explore personalization and connect directly with prospective customers.

Next, we will cover the third part of this series, Customer Acquisition.
